This policy explains how Tagon Digital handles information collected through this website, our enquiry forms and our communications. We handle personal data under applicable Nigerian data protection law. Client projects may have separate written data-processing arrangements.

02What we collect

For project and audit enquiries, we collect the details you provide: your name and email, the request type and the fields required for that request. Project requests also ask for the service, your goal, budget range and preferred timing. Business name, phone or WhatsApp number and website are collected when you choose to provide them. A resource-download request collects your first name and email, the resource requested, permission to send it and delivery status.

Website hosting and security systems may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times and browser information to deliver the website and prevent abuse. The enquiry protection code uses short-lived rate-limit counters.

We use the service, goal, budget and timing fields to organise and prioritise enquiries. A team member reviews the request; the score does not independently accept or reject a client.

Please do not send passwords, patient records or other sensitive personal information through the enquiry forms. If you send something sensitive accidentally, contact hello@tagondigital.com so we can arrange appropriate removal.

When you save a cookie choice, we record a random browser-receipt fingerprint, your analytics choice, the notice version, the browser-reported choice time and the server receipt time. This consent log does not contain your name, email address, IP address or user agent. It records a browser action, not verified identity. Website hosting and security logs are separate.

For a deletion request, we collect your email address, a confirmation record, an optional browser receipt, and the administration notes needed to review and fulfil the request. A receipt supplied with a verified request allows us to locate that browser’s consent history; otherwise it cannot be matched by email alone.

03Why we collect it

We use information to answer enquiries, assess and scope requested work, provide agreed services, deliver resources you request, manage client communications and maintain the security of the website.

With your separate permission, Google Analytics helps us understand website usage and improve pages. An enquiry or resource request does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not sell your personal data.

04Lawful basis

We rely on the basis appropriate to the activity: consent for optional analytics and separately requested marketing; steps you request before a contract and performance of an agreed contract for project enquiries and services; legitimate interests for proportionate security and business administration; and legal obligations where records must be retained.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. Use Cookie settings in the footer for analytics or email hello@tagondigital.com for communication preferences. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

05Data minimisation

We ask for information relevant to your request. Do not include customer or patient records, account passwords or unrelated personal information. Optional fields can be left blank.

06How long we keep it

Closed enquiry records are scheduled to move to the website’s Trash after 24 months. Trash may retain a copy for up to 30 further days before normal deletion. A documented retention hold can pause this where a record is still required for a contract, legal claim or legal obligation.

Temporary backups and email copies may continue to contain information until their normal review or replacement cycle. Deletion requests are reviewed against applicable legal duties; a request does not automatically remove records we must lawfully keep.

Use the deletion-request button below or email hello@tagondigital.com to exercise a right. Online deletion requests send an email confirmation link first; an administrator then reviews the confirmed request. We aim to respond within 30 days and will explain any lawful reason for a delay, retention or refusal.

Eligible enquiry and resource-download request records and their custom fields can be erased from WordPress. Records on an explicit retention hold are reviewed separately. Email copies, exports, other systems, Google data and backups require their own review; removing a WordPress record does not erase those copies. The administrator records the outcome and explains retained records before closing the full request.

The request form turns off optional Analytics on the browser where it is submitted. It cannot clear storage on your other devices or automatically identify historical Google Analytics data by your email address or first-party consent receipt.

08Service providers and Google tools

We use providers to operate the website and communicate with you. Access is limited to what is needed for the relevant purpose.

Google Analytics

Analytics is optional. The Google Analytics tag is blocked until you accept analytics. It is not loaded in response to choosing Necessary only. Advertising storage and advertising personalisation are not enabled by our analytics loader. Google explains that GA4 uses IP addresses at collection time for approximate location, then discards them before storage. See Google’s Analytics data safeguards.

Google Search Console

Search Console helps us understand how pages appear in Google Search, including impressions, clicks and search-query trends. It is separate from the Analytics tag and does not itself add Analytics cookies to this website. Google omits some queries from reports to protect searchers’ privacy. 09Cross-border transfers

Google and other service providers may process information outside Nigeria. Processing locations depend on the provider and service configuration. Google describes its international processing and safeguards in its privacy policy and applicable service terms.

We do not treat a destination as providing adequate protection merely because a provider operates there. Contact hello@tagondigital.com for information about a relevant provider or transfer arrangement.

10Cookies and your choices

Cookies are small files stored by a browser. Similar browser storage can remember choices. Essential storage supports the website, security and administration. Optional Analytics is kept off until you accept it.

Choose Necessary only to refuse Analytics, Accept analytics to allow it, or Manage choices to select your preference. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. Declining does not stop enquiries or resource requests.

When you turn Analytics off, our control disables further Analytics measurement and removes Analytics cookies it can access on this website. You can also clear cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. Choices are browser-specific, so a different browser or cleared storage may require a new choice.

The browser preference also contains a random receipt. A small first-party queue, tagon_consent_pending_v1, temporarily holds up to 20 unsent consent events and retries them on a later visit or when the connection returns. Events older than 180 days are discarded when the controls next run. The receipt is shown under Cookie preferences so you can supply it with a deletion request. Saving a choice records it in our private administration log whether you accept or decline Analytics; it does not enable optional tracking.

Authorised administrators can view the consent audit and manage deletion requests in WordPress. The consent log is stored in the website database, separately from enquiry records. It is not sent to Google by our consent controls.

11Security

We use restricted administration access, validation of form inputs, request-rate limits and other technical measures to reduce misuse. No internet service is completely secure. Please report a suspected issue to hello@tagondigital.com.

If a personal-data incident occurs, we assess its impact and follow applicable notification duties. Where notification to affected people is required, we use the contact information available to us.

12Marketing

You join our email list only if you ask. Enquiring doesn’t subscribe you.

You can ask us to stop direct marketing at any time. We may still send messages needed to fulfil your request, manage an existing service or meet a legal obligation.

13Changes to this policy

Each new version gets a new date at the top, with a note of what changed.

Version 1.1 adds the first-party consent audit, browser receipts and email-confirmed deletion-request workflow. Choices made before this audit was installed are not presented as retrospectively verified records.
